Our Services

Acupuncture

The application of hair-thin needles to promote balance and healing using your body's own natural systems.

Tui Na (Manual Therapy)

We use a combination of eastern Tui Na manual therapy and western body manipulation techniques. This results in a technique unique to our practice. We focus on soft tissue therapy, stretching muscles and tendons, to improve the body's blood flow, flexibility, and overall function.

Cupping

A traditional technique that uses specialized glass containers to stimulate blood flow to body tissues. This improves respiration on a cellular level and has been found to provide pain relief, promote athletic recovery and improve joint function.

Herbal Formulas

We provide premade/custom formulas for various needs and ailments. Please request a consultation in order to determine which formula would be best suited for your condition.

How Acupuncture Works

Treatment frequency often varies depending on the duration and severity of your symptoms.  The benefits of acupuncture treatment are cumulative.  Results last longer and become more effective with each treatment. Noticeable improvement often occurs with the first treatment, but can take three to five sessions.  In Eastern Medicine, eight to twelve sessions constitute a traditional "full course" of treatment. Typically many patients do not require a "full course" of treatment for their condition, however it isn't unusual.

Similar to how Western Doctors monitor the cardiovascular system and the impulses traveling via the nervous system, the Acupuncturist assesses the flow and distribution of electricity through specific pathways associated with your condition.

Acupuncturists stimulate or suppress the body's electrical flow most commonly by application of hair-thin needles at precise anatomical points, at times accompanied with electrical stimulation or heat.

Internal imbalance of the body's electrical systems is often a source of disease and illness.  This imbalance can be brought about by pathogens, injury, lifestyle, exposure to chemicals and pollution or age. Maintaining the body's proper internal state promotes faster healing, establishes a stronger immune system and improves overall quality of life.
